Applying for a Reception Place

Applications for primary school places are made via South Tyneside Council. You can apply for a place for your child online via the South Tyneside Council website. Please ensure you apply for your child’s Reception place before the South Tyneside Council deadline date. Any applications received after this date will be considered as ‘late’ applications. Our Reception Timetable

School Times- 8:40am-3:10pm

Transition into School Life

June- Parents receive an invitation to our Reception welcome meeting.

July- Parents attend Reception welcome meeting. Parents will be given a Harton Primary School welcome pack and will have the opportunity to meet their child’s Reception teacher and school staff.

September – Child and parent attend a Stay and Play session (the date and time will be given at the welcome meeting). Parents to return the registration forms to school.
